In the year of the 20th Anniversary of 9/11, Blue Spill were honoured to work with 72Films and Director Daniel Bogado on the six part National Geographic documentary series; 9/11: One Day in America.
9/11: One Day in America tells the in-depth story of September 11th through the eyes of the witnesses, heroes and survivors. Made in collaboration with the 9/11 Memorial & Museum to mark the 20th anniversary, this major new series charts the tragic day in unprecedented detail – from the first plane hitting the north tower to the last survivors being rescued from the rubble.
We worked closely with the team to create the title sequence that would embody a haunting forshadowing of the stages of devastation that the series would explore, as well as some animated text sequences to work in sync with audio footage archives from the event.
Blue Spill create over 15 motion sequences for 911: One Day in America and used an ACES Adobe After Effects and Flame workflow for delivery in Rec709 HD.
