We’re super pleased to announce two of the films we worked on earlier this year will be screening at the London Film Festival.
My Scientology Movie is produced by Simon Chinn, directed (and co-written) by John Dower, presented (and co-written) by Louis Theroux and edited by Paul Carlin.
Louis Theroux employs his characteristic deadpan wit in his investigation into the Church of Scientology. “Following a long fascination with the religion and with much experience in dealing with eccentric, unpalatable and unexpected human behaviour, the beguilingly unassuming Theroux won’t take no for an answer when his request to enter the Church’s headquarters is turned down… Theroux uses some very creative methods to begin to better understand the way it operates. And, in a bizarre twist, it becomes clear that the Church is also making a film about Louis Theroux.”
We came on board the London based edit during rough cut, having previously worked with John (Bradley Wiggins, Slaying the Badger). We designed title sequence and closing credit sequence, as well as several in film sequences. We can’t say too much about our involvement in the film, until it’s premiere mid October, so stay tuned!
We’re also very pleased that one of our favourite films we’ve worked on of late, Listen To Me, Marlon (dir: Stevan Riley, prod: John Battsek, George Chignell) will be screening at the festival. It’s an incredibly powerful film, of which we designed titles and in film sequences.
