Our title sequence for the Take That film, Look Back; Don’t Stare, was designed to set the tone of the film, and give the audiences a brief overview of the band’s journey to date. Keeping with a low-fi feel, we wanted to capture the notion of obsession, from fans as well as from the media. As the directors were keen to step away from the more typical visual nature of the ‘boy band’ look, we were able to experiment quite a lot visually, and convey the information in a conceptual manner. Dates, for example, were designed as time codes.
Combined with an incredible audio track, we had a lot of fun putting this together in a relatively short period of time.
